What Size Skip Do I Need?

Choosing the right skip for your project is important, but where do you start? There are various factors you must consider when choosing your skip, such as size and what waste you’re disposing. Below is a list of our available skips in Bury, Bolton and the surrounding areas. Take a look at our guide to help you choose the best skip for the job.
2 Yard Skip Hire
Mini Skips Bury
2-yard skips are ideal for small jobs, they hold the equivalent of approximately 20-25 bin bags of waste. We can accept a range of mixed waste in these skips, so long as the skip is level. Please see our list of restricted items prior to booking.
3 Yard Skip Hire

A little larger than the 2-yard, our 3-yard skip is great for domestic households. They hold approximately 30-35 bin bags of rubbish, perfect to clear out that clutter. Mixed waste such as rubble and soil are no problem for this skip! Please ensure a level load for collection, overloaded skips will not be picked up.
4 Yard Skip Hire

The 4-yard skip is our customers most popular choice, big enough to hold the equivalent of 40-45 bin bags. This skip is not suitable for full soil loads, you can put mixed loads in, but not full soil. This is due to weight restrictions and the size of our skip trucks. If your waste is mostly soil, you will need to consider a 2- or 3-yard skip.
6 Yard Skip Hire

Introducing our newest addition, the 6-yard skip. This new size skip is great for those bigger clearance jobs as they can hold a lot of bulky light household waste. Starting from to 3-day hire, we can extend this to a week if required with no additional cost. This skip is not suitable for full soil loads or heavy waste such as rubble due to weight restrictions
8 Yard Skip Hire

Our 8-yard skips are great for a big clear out! You can fill it with plenty of light household waste or even add in mattresses or fridge/freezers at an additional cost. Though please bear in mind such items must be declared prior to booking. This skip is not suitable for heavy waste such as soil, rubble, or builders waste and must not be overloaded.
If your skip is not going on your property, either a garden or a driveway, you will need a permit. Our team is happy to arrange this for you. Please call 07376 594330 or choose the permit option on our booking system.
