It was an honour to get involved with Bolton Borough Litter Pickers & Bolton Council Environmental Enforcement Officers yesterday, tidying up the streets of Great Lever
We supplied four 8-yard skips for this great event all dropped & removed on the same day
Lots of volunteers started it off last Sunday, spending one hour in this area and filling 75 bags of rubbish and 20 more volunteers continued their work yesterday by litter-picking a number of back streets and main roads.
A total of 27 contaminated/abandoned bins have been removed from the streets.
Neighbourhood services were able to send 2 road sweepers to clean down a number of back streets once operatives had removed the bulky fly tip.
Skips were funded by ward councillors for residents to dispose of any excess waste from their households.
Great to see the community coming together and helping to keep the streets of Bolton clean, well done all involved
